I became, in my own mind, part of this family. And they've looked after me with all my needs and it's made me very happy.
Sometimes, carers need somebody else to step in and take over for a while. At MACG, we can facilitate short term respite stays at our dedicated homes. Whether it's just a couple of days, a 5-day respite care stay, we've got your short term respite care needs covered. We also have long-term respite care services.

At MACG, we treat everybody like family. Even if you're just here for a short term respite stay, we'll do everything we can to make you feel at home.
With an abundance of lifestyle and social programs on offer, there's no shortage of things to do at our MACG homes. We offer lots of different activities, to cater to the different needs of our residents and guests.
MACG is proud to support charities which do important work. Additionally, each of our homes helps local charitable organisations as well. Our residents, as well as our staff, have a fun time volunteering all across the state.
We have MACG homes in 8 different locations across Melbourne and Victoria. Within each home, you'll find a warm and welcoming community.
Short term respite care is for older people who need to live with round the clock professional care, but only for a limited amount of time. It's ideal for people who might live with a carer at home, for a period in which the carer is unavailable. We can provide care for people living with dementia or Alzheimer's, but also for older people not not living with those conditions.
There are certain things that we recommend our guests bring along, even when they're just coming for a short stay.
