Who is short term respite care for?

Short term respite care is for older people who need to live with round the clock professional care, but only for a limited amount of time. It's ideal for people who might live with a carer at home, for a period in which the carer is unavailable.

What should I bring along for my short term respite care stay?

There are certain things that we recommend our guests bring along, even when they're just coming for a short stay.

  • Any prescription medicine that will be required
  • A few sets of clothes with names written on the tags
  • Any mobile phones, laptops, or tablets required
  • Contact numbers of friends and family
  • Specific equipment such as a walking stick or walker (if used)
  • Toiletries
  • A list of dietary requirements

What if I want a longer stay in respite care?

That's absolutely fine! In addition to short term respite care, we also offer long term respite care and also permanent residential care.
